Really? Yes!… It’s true!

Here’s the backstory: In 2013 our German exchange student, Leonie, and I binge watched “Breaking Bad” starring fellow Idaho guy, Aaron Paul. Cool!

Have you ever done a vanity search? Well I have… and in late 2014 I learned my name was Aaron’s character on the Netflix series “Bojack Horseman.” I promised myself that if and when I ever ran into Aaron, I’d grab my driver’s license and introduce myself.

Fast forward to December 30, 2019, at a restaurant in McCall, Idaho, when WHO walks by? Aaron Paul! I waited until the time was right and followed through on my plan…

ME: “Aaron?”
AARON: “Yeah?”
ME: “Hi, I’m Todd Chavez” (presenting license to Aaron)
AARON: “No WAY!” (examining license)
AARON: “Babe! This is Todd Chavez (introducing me to his wife, Lauren)
LAUREN: “Oh my God!”

And so it went. We chatted for a minute and he took a couple selfies of us. Sadly, I don’t (yet) have copies of the photos, but there were witnesses!

Mission accomplished!
